I chose this policy area because it has been receiving a lot of media attention in recent months. Over the summer, I watched Michael Moore's documentary Sicko. Although I had known there were many differences between the U.S. health care system and that of the rest of the world, I had no idea what the extent of the differences are. Watching the film made me feel angry, ashamed, and worried about living with this kind of health care system.
